Business Controller for Leading Financial Player

Are you an experienced Business Controller with a background in banking or finance looking for a qualified position where you can work closely with the business? We are now seeking an analytical and self-driven consultant to support one of Sweden's leading players in the financial industry.

ABOUT THE POSITION

In the role of consultant within Business Control, you will have a central function in the finance and accounting organization, working closely with both the CFO and various business areas. The assignment involves being responsible for financial monitoring, analysis, and reporting as a regular employee goes on parental leave.

You will work broadly with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ongoing reporting, cost and budget follow-up, as well as analysis of results and key figures. The role also involves handling supplier invoices, providing support to the business in financial matters, and contributing to the development of processes and working methods.

You will be an important part of a smaller team within Finance & Accounting, where collaboration, quality, and business understanding are in focus. The position suits you who thrives in an analytical and advisory role, has good system skills, and wants to work in an organization where you have significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence.

This is a temporary position that will initially extend until after the summer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ongoing financial reporting to management and the business
  • Follow up on costs and budget
  • Provide support and advice to the business in financial matters

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has at least 5 years of experience as a Business Controller in banking or finance
  • Thrives in a business-oriented role where you collaborate with both finance and operations
  • Has the ability to identify discrepancies, see connections, and present insights clearly
  • Is confident in working with financial statements, reporting, analysis, and budget follow-up

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience with analytical tools and an interest in data-driven working methods
  • Experience working in complex organizations
